On Day 3 we got up early and took a walk to worlds most crooked street(close hair pin turns). It was fun to see big SUVs coming down the street struggling to take turns. 🙂 Next we had great breakfast at Baudin bakery in Fisherman’s Wharf.
Next we went to CA Academy of Sciences which is LEED Platinum certified building and Swati had to see it. 🙂 After that we headed to apply for our Italian Visa. We received our visa couple of days back.. Now we are planning for our next VACATION in ITALY…. :):)
This weekend we are visiting San Francisco. We landed in San Francisco on Friday late night. Saturday we met with Raje and Vandana and spend time with them. 🙂 We caught up on things and chatted about good old days. 🙂
We also visited Golden gate bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli square… End of day we did what we like doing best, sit at home and watch movie. 🙂 Mostly it does not matter what the movie is. 🙂
Some Snaps 🙂
Check out top 20 Romantic Getaways from MSN travel. Good list. Actually includes backwaters of Kerala, India where we went for our honeymoon… 🙂
Whidbey Island, Washington: Though it’s only a 20-minute ferry ride from Seattle, Whidbey Island feels like the Pacific Northwest’s last frontier—a lost-in-time place of towering redwoods and sparkling coves overlooking Puget Sound. Take refuge at the 28-room Inn at Langley (doubles from $195), in Langley, a pint-size town on the island. Each suite has a Jacuzzi with views of the evergreen-lined Saratoga Passage waterway (and the gray whales that swim through in spring). In the historic center, Lowry-James Rare Prints & Books sells vintage maps and Audubon lithographs; the Clyde Theatre, a 1937 movie house, screens the classics. Drive 30 miles north to Ebey’s Landing to walk the coastal bluffs, or make your way to Coupeville, known for its Penn Cove mussels, which no-frills Toby’s Tavern (lunch for two $22) serves right.
