This week something amazing happened. Swati’s sister sent us an email on 26th April to tell us that Swati’s photo has been published in Times of India a premier Indian news paper. Time of India publishes the print version of news paper online. I logged in to check out and I was shocked it was a photo I had put on one of my hosts on this blog. Following is the link to the original post http://sudsblog.com/?p=295

Today I had my induction into Beta Gamma Sigma honor’s society. When I started my MBA in August 2005 I knew I will do well but I did not know I will do so well. There have been many challenges on my way. On health front I had 4 surgeries; there were many times I had to take 2 Percocet (pain killers) to sit in class. Swati had to drive me to class and wait for 3.5 hours until the class was over. On career front I joined Samsys just before MBA started and then in a year I had an opportunity to work with Microsoft which I embraced. We bought 2 houses and 1 car in last 2 years. I am still trying to sell one of them. L Things have been happening at real fast pace. But I guess I love the fast pace of life.
I have to give a lot of credit of my success to Swati. She has always been very supportive in every aspect. Did I tell you she actually read few cases for me? JJ
As Swati says, I am more energetic at 9:30 PM after my class than at 5:30PM before my class. That is how I feel, I love the program and I am learning a lot. The best part is I enjoy it. J

More about Beta Gamma Sigma (From Wikipedia)
Beta Gamma Sigma or ΒΓΣ is an honor society for business students and scholars
The aim of Beta Gamma Sigma is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business and to foster personal and professional excellence among its inducted members. A major emphasis of the society is to foster ethical business leadership. Beta Gamma Sigma members reside in over 160 countries. Beta Gamma Sigma also has 18 alumni chapters located in major metropolitan areas in the U.S. and Hong Kong which provide educational and networking opportunities for members.
Membership requirements include that a student must be in the top 10% of a baccalaureate business program or the top 20% of a masters business program. While membership is highly selective, Beta Gamma Sigma is the largest alumni group in the world for graduates of business programs.
Yesterday that is Apr 21st we took Teji to UNC. It was fun to show her my school. J I wish I can go to New castle to see her school too. J Next we did some shopping at Southpoint Mall and returned back home to rest. Today Teji will return back to UK in an hour. L It was fun to have her around. Good Luck Teji. J
On 10th April morning 6:00am we left Vegas for Seattle. We reached there around 11:30am. I was too busy with my work for next 4 days. Girls were on their own enjoying shopping and site seeing in Seattle downtown. After looking at my credit card bill I can tell you they really enjoyed themselves. ïŠïŠ On Saturday after my SDR was over we all went to Skagit valley to see Tulip festival. It was beautiful. On the way back to Airport we stopped at Tulalip Casino and Prime outlets. We again did some shopping and I played some poker. The best part was we spent 150$ in shopping in prime outlets and I won 180$ in poker. That was a great way to end the vacation. We took a red eye flight back to Raleigh.
You can see the album here.
On the way back from Canyon Skywalk we stopped at Hoover Dam. Teji really hates traveling in car and after hours of drive to skywalk and back she was really not in great shape but she still wanted to see Hoover Dam. You can easily make out her fake smile in the photos. J You can see the whole album here.
On Sunday April 8th we visited the skywalk at West Rim of Grand Canyon. It is an amazing experience to stand 4000ft above sea level and watch straight down through a glass floor. You can read more about the Canyon Skywalk here.
We had rented a Lincoln Town Car for the visit. We drove from Vegas to Skywalk. The drive itself was amazing and scary. 21 miles of the drive was on unpaved roads where your cell phones don’t work. At one point in time our Car broke down luckily a lady following us was very knowledgeable about cars so she helped us out. But the drive was worth it. It is worth a visit. As I mentioned Teji is visiting us from UK. So we decided to go on vacation. Luckily I had some work in Seattle so we decided all of us will go to Vegas and Seattle. We left Raleigh on 6th evening for Vegas. We stayed in Vegas for 4 days and left Vegas on 10th. It was real fun. We (me and swati) have been to Vegas multiple times. It is our favorite vacation spot. This time it was very different with Teji around. It was her first visit and she just loved the place. It was so funny Teji is 22 but looks 12 JJJ (She is going to kill me JJ). She was booted out of casino for not carrying an ID and the security and dealers would not believe she is 22. It was so funny. Teji is so cute. JJJ
Swati and Teji had real fun shopping around. As usual I was playing poker and did really well this time. We also took Teji to watch Cirque de Soleil show Mystere. We also visited downtown Vegas. You all should have a look at our photos at http://www.sudspace.com/albums/thumbnails.php?album=32
Teji is Swati’s cousin. She is studying in New Castle University in UK. She had 1 month Easter holidays so we thought it would be great to have her company here. She arrived on 2nd April and will stay with us until 23rd April. I had only met her couple of before first time was in our marriage and next when we were visiting India. Meet Teji. J Isn’t she cute.
